Beginners Guides to Dabbing

This is an exciting moment to spend time thinking about your life and smoking history before you proceed. Now that it's done, this is the first DAB what you have to do.

Spreading supplies

- Rig / Cigarette - "Nail" (we will discuss later) - "Wand" (ibid.) - Flashlight - Pliers - Cleaning rag - a bowl of water

All of these supplies seem a bit daunting, but hanging there, it’s worth it.

In addition to all of the above, you’ll need some wax or Shatter the tobacco. These cannabis concentrates are designed for hemp rigs.

If you have never used "nails" before, it’s important to season it before you jump into this head. This will help burn off any potentially harmful fumes in freshly processed metals and it’s a very important step if you want to avoid poisoning.

What is a nail/wrist?

A nail is a bowl that is specially used for smearing. Usually they’re titanium, quartz or ceramic.

A nail fits over or inside the glass fitting on your cigarette holder. It’s actually a tube with a small ridge at the top for placing/melting/sucking wax or debris. Although they’re quite simple, prices range from $20 to over $200.00.

A wand or Dabber is to be used for picking up wax/chips and pressing them on your nails. We prefer glass wands, but they can also be metal or ceramic.

How to season and apply nails

1. Place the nail on the rig and grab the handle flashlight.
2. Hit the nail with a flame until it turns red.
3. Put a little water on your nails or excess wax/spoil.
4. Let it burnaway, then grab the nail with pliers and place it in the bowl.
5. Repeat the nail 2-3 times after the nail is cooled.

Now you can start using experienced nails.

Time to Dab

Your nails have been seasoned, You supply is ready, your mouth is watering, ready to start the first application.

Grab your gear and put the nails on it.

Use a wand to grab a small piece of "crush" or "wax" (preferably from a small place).

Heat the nails with a flashlight until the nails turn red.

Use your wand to gently rub the wax/crush on the nail while you gently draw on your rig. .

Repeat this process until you are completely relaxed.

Clean up

This is an important step that is often overlooked, but no one wants a dirty rig, so please pay attention.

Heat the wand for a few seconds to loosen the wax/crush left on it and wipe it off with a clean rag or alcohol wipe.

Heat the nails with a flashlight to burn off any sticky residue.
